"The Nucleus of America - Being a staunch Welshman, it was difficult to choose anywhere but Wales. However, the sun scorched terrain of Los Alamos, New Mexico has to be one of my favourite places. Whilst ascending the Pajarito Plateau from the Rio Grande Valley, it’s hard to not fall in love with the Spanish colonial architecture that still dominates the town, and the steep canyons and tall Mesa’s that helped protect the secret activities of the Manhattan Project."
